Hello KB - this is Nancy at GE Appliances and we are happy to help you. Your microwave should be installed 66" or more from the floor to the top of the microwave oven. This will allow a minimum of 30" between the bottom of the upper cabinet and your stovetop. The bottom edge of the cabinet needs to be 30" or more from the cooking surface. We hope this helps!
