Hi Mal- The vent is located just above the door. The microwave oven is designed for adaptation for the following three types of ventilation: Outside Exhaust (Vertical – Delivered from factory in vertical position). Outside Exhaust (Horizontal). Recirculating (Non-vented ductless).
