It is 30 " wide and fit in the space perfectly. It did require tearing down the old mounting bracket and putting in the new one (which I had hoped to not have to do). We are quite happy with it.

It fits over a standard 30 inch range. As long as you have a cabinet over the range it will work fine. Very easy to install. The only possible curveball would be the position of your outside vent.

Hi JH - Yes, model JVM3160RFSS is a nice replacement choice. All 30" over-the-range microwaves are approximately the same width, and are designed to fit into a 30" wide cabinet opening. Each microwave comes with the mounting hardware (mounting bracket, screws, exhaust adapter), top and rear templates, and installation instructions needed to make installation a simple process.
