Hello Dan, Thank you so much for reaching out. We're happy to answer your question. Over-the-range microwaves are not intended/or designed to be used as countertop microwaves. Improper use and installation of appliances will void the warranty. We do have countertop microwaves that can also be built in, but they do not fit the same cutout as an over-the-range microwave.
