“why aren't full-sized templates available for OTR microwaves as replacements for lost/missing templates? Purchased GE PVM9179SF1SS microwave from Home Depot. They had allowed a customer to return it to store minus hardware bag and template for drilling cabinet. Have located 3 3" long screws to mount micro to cabinet but all I've been able to acquire from GE is vent template, and that's on a sheet of paper from a copier. I need the full-sized template to drill cabinet and support bracket”

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Look through the other answers about carefully measuring where the holes go. I want to caution you to check the bolts you bought and make sure they thread into the microwave top easily with just your fingers. There are a couple of different thread styles in the microwaves depending on the manufacturer. I bought the wrong threads once and buggered up the nuts in the case, then had to take the case apart to replace the mounting nuts on the inside of the microwave's metal "shell"!
