• A:Answer Hi - We certainly appreciate your loyalty! JVM3160DFWW is a nice choice to replace JVM1440WH01. All 30" over-the-range microwaves are approximately the same width, and are designed to fit into a 30" wide cabinet opening. Therefore, any of our 30" over-the-range models will work as a replacement for an existing 30" over-the-range model. When replacing an over-the-range microwave, the mounting bracket included with the new microwave should be used since the mounting bracket is specific to each model. Q: QuestionThe exhaust is blowing out top front from adjustment we made. It is blowing out top, but nothing is being sucked up from the bottom. No suction from the bottom is happening.

If the tissue is held up to the microwave, it is venting properly. If it is not pulled up, try checking that the motor was turned in the proper direction. Q: Questionwe have jvm1540ln1cs over the range microwave. It stopped working from quite some time. we need to replace it with a same or very near model which fits inside the pre fit cabinet of microwave. trying hard to find the same model but could not. Please help!

Q: QuestionThe old microwave was GE model JVM3160DF2BB. Will the previous bolt holes in the microwave top (27" center to center) match up on this model?

• A:Answer I purchased a 2023 JVM3160DFBB (version JVM3160DF9BB) to replace a 2014 JVM3160DFBB (JVM3160DF2BB). The bracket is different (only one horizontal bracket as opposed to a 3-sided bracket with the earlier version). And the newer version only uses two mounting bolts at the top instead of three. A new hole will need to be drilled for one of the upper mounting bolts. The new bracket has two bottom tabs instead of 4, but the old bracket appears reusable after bending down the two interior tabs.

They are basically the same size (WxHxD) (in.) 29 7/8 in x 16 13/32 in x 15 1/4 in / JVM6175SKSS: 29 7/8 in x 16 5/16 in x 15 9/16 in). In fact, all GE 30" over-the-range microwaves are approximately the same width, and are designed to fit into a 30" wide cabinet opening. Therefore, any of our 30" over-the-range models will work as a replacement for an existing 30" over-the-range model. Each microwave comes with the mounting hardware (mounting bracket, screws, exhaust adapter), top and rear templates, and installation instructions. the mounting bracket included with the new microwave should be used since the mounting bracket is specific to each model. Q: QuestionMy 1.5 year old GE OTR microwave is not heating food - it sounds fine like it is working but food is cold ! I felt sides of microwave and they seem warm to the touch. Is this magnetron problem? I know it's out of warranty but only 1.5 years -ugh

• A:Answer Hi Krazee - Thanks for choosing GE® 1.6 Cu. Ft. Over-the-Range Microwave Oven JVM3160DFBB and welcome to the family! The power level may be entered or changed before or during cooking. To change: 1. Press Power Level button. 2. Enter new power level by using the number pads or press the Power Level button multiple times until you find the level you want. 3. After you have selected the power level, wait five seconds. The display will go back to the Cook Time screen. 4. Enter cooking time and press START. Or: 1. Press Cook Time button. 2. Enter your cooking time. 3. Press Power Level button. 4. Enter new power level by using the number pads or press the Power Level button multiple times until you find the level you want. 5. After you have selected the power level, wait five seconds. The display will go back to the Cook Time (Enter Time) screen. 6. Press START (High 10 (100%); Low 2 or 3 (20 or 30%).
