Does this require you to reset the time and date if the power goes out?

I have an older GE microwave that does a hard reset if the power goes out, requiring re-programming. I don't need a date function on my microwave... Did they fix this? null

In the event of a power failure, the clock will need to be reset. Press Set Clock, enter the time and press Start. This model doesn't offer a date function. -Vikki@GEAppliances

The clock does need to be reset when the power goes out.
