Hi Gunner- We have great news! Yes, the over-the-range microwave ovens are designed for adaptation to the following three types of ventilation: *Outside exhaust (horizontal), *Outside exhaust (vertical) and *Recirculating (non-vented). Recirculating Charcoal Filter JX81L is included.
