All 30" over-the-range microwaves are approximately the same width and are designed to fit into a 30" wide cabinet opening. A:AnswerHello. This will require a service call to properly diagnose what the internal electrical issue. You can call 1-800-432-2737. We do not actually diagnose an electrical issue. If the microwave trips the house fuse or breaker:
Be certain the microwave is on its own dedicated circuit.
Reset the breaker or replace the household fuse and try the microwave one more time.
If the breaker trips off again, unplug the microwave and contact service. Hope this helps. Geoff@GEA

There is also information about the warranty on your microwave on page 31 of your manual, if you need to take advantage of that. We will certainly send your feedback regarding the door switch to our Microwave Design team for future review and possible alteration. Regarding a different model, trim kits are usually model specific - if you are needing to replace your microwave, what trim kit you use would depend on the model you choose. We do have multiple other countertop microwaves that can be converted to a built-in look using a trim kit, including PEB9159SJSS. A:AnswerI replaced an older model GE microwave with the JVM3160DFW model. I did have to remove the old wall mounting bracket and replace it with the one that came with the new unit. I have looked at the parts manual for the JVM316ODF2WW model and the wall mounting bracket appears to be the same as is used with the JVM3160DFW. It would appear that the JVM3160DFW can be a direct replacement for the JVM316ODF2WW.
