Can you use this microwave over the stove without an outside venting system? We do not have an outside venting system in our house. Will this microwave still work for us if we install it over our stove?

Yes, you can either vent back into the room or through an external vent. I vented internally. The configuration was easy, hardest part was installing the filter. It took a bit of finesse to remove the panel from the front of the unit.

Yes, the fan comes the way you want/circulate the air and if you flip the fan from the back before installing thats when you can make it vent to outside.

Definitely, that requires no adjustments as it is set up for no outside venting. Just keep it high enough above stove per requirements.

Yes! Model JVM3160RFSS can be converted to recirculating (indoor) venting. The Recirculating Charcoal Filter JX81L is included. Follow the directions in the installation instructions included with the microwave for recirculating vent.

Also, model JNM3161RFSS is the same microwave except is assembled and shipped for recirculating (indoor)venting. No conversion is necessary. You can view this model online at:
