A:AnswerHi Rick - Thanks for reaching out to us. The microwave requires a 120 volt individual, properly grounded branch circuit with a 3 prong grounding type receptacle, protected by a 15 or 20 amp circuit breaker or time-delay fuse. Over-the-range models should be on a dedicated circuit. If properly installed, a qualified service technician is required for an accurate diagnosis. We encourage you to contact GE Appliance Service at 1-800-432-2737 for assistance or conveniently schedule an appointment online: http://www.geappliances.com/service_and_support/service/ - We apologize for any inconvenience. A:AnswerI replaced my 16 year old GE microwave with a current GE model. I removed the old one and left the mounting bracket in place. When the installers got to my home, I asked if the existing bracket would work. They compared it to the new bracket and they were slightly different but would work. They mounted the new unit on the old bracket with no problems. The install took less than 10 minutes.
