“The Know Before You Buy video states there must be 30 inches between the range cook top and the BOTTOM of the cabinet. This seems excessive and not an accurate reflection of the proportions shown. Is this an error? My current clearance is 15 inches.”

Hi Spacing- Thanks for choosing GE! Over- the-range microwaves must be installed 66" from the floor to the bottom of the cabinet that the microwave/Advantium attaches to. This can also be measured as 30" from the cooktop to the bottom of the cabinet it attaches to (not from the cooktop to the bottom of the microwave). This will allow approximately 14" from the cooktop to the bottom of the microwave.
