Hello Inquirer - this is Nancy at GE Appliances and we are happy to help you. This microwave is ready to be installed as exhausting outside through the top of the unit. However, you can change the venting to be internally vented or recirculating. Instructions for changing the venting can be found in the Owner's Manual. We hope this helps! Thanks for checking with us!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes it does both. Their is a plate which covers the vent which gets removed and replaced with the damper before installing the vent pipe (sold/fabricated separately). Per the instructions there are 3 ways to mount: A top duct, B: Rear Duct, C: Recirculation to the room through the Carbon filter
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. We just purchased this unit. It comes set up for exterior exhaust. I recently had a new roof installed and it was recommended that my vent be covered and not used. So, looking through the installation instructions there is a section covering this. I had to remove the fan and turn in 90 degrees towards the front of the unit. It exhausts into the room. No problems with this AND it was very easy to do, at least before the installation. Looks great and works fine.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The fan has different options from venting to the interior as well as exterior. Just follow the steps in the instructions included to make sure you set it properly.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.this unit is convertible. that is the installer can configure it to use an outside vent or to vent inside the kitchen.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It does not have any connection to run an hose/vent to the exterior of the home. It has built in filters that need to be cleaned maybe once a quarter as a regular maintenance. It is interior venting.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.
