Yes this model has sensorcooking.

Apparently, the sensor has to do with functions in the block of controls just under the clock display. These include melt, popcorn, and defrost. According to the product description power & duration for these functions are sensor controls.

Black stainless does have sensor cooking, just be sure if you are heating multiple items in a row you give it a couple minutes before cooking the next item or use the timer for the next. Sensor heating a single plate does work very good.
