Yes, but no auto on; auto on. Just manual high and low light.

Yes it does--with two settings. However, it is not a bright light and though the high setting will light your stove adequately, the lower setting is only sufficient for a night light. We do use our lower setting so our late night snackers can get around the kitchen without an accident.
