“Hi - I have a similar model/no longer made. My question is the old one built up frost in freezer and had a “drain” pipe from the frig out back to a collection cup at bottom. Does this model have that? And clarifying it is SELF defrosting? Thanks!”

• Hi Michelle- GE® ENERGY STAR® 11.6 cu. ft. Top-Freezer Refrigerator GPE12FGKWW is frost-free. Refrigerators with automatic defrost have a drain tube that carries water from the defrost cycle to a fixed drain pan under the refrigerator. These models require some disassembly to access the defrost drain tube. Keep in touch! SUE@GEA
