Hey there! Thanks for contacting us about this great Upright Freezer. We recommend that the freezer legs be set so the freezer firmly sits on the floor. You can view the instructions on this on page 12 of the installation guide. The vents are located on the back of the unit. We hope this helps! Please let us know if you have any additional questions.
