Hi - Yes, the outside finish is textured. Also, you should be pleased with your choice. Our refrigerators continue to be manufactured with as quiet an operation as possible. We realize the kitchen is a popular gathering place. When the surrounding noise is low, you may hear a high-pitched hum or pulsating sound while it is operating. The type of installation, floor type (wood, tile, carpet) and room acoustics can all affect the normal operating sounds that you may hear.
