• Hello. Thanks for checking with us! We do not recommend, connecting a drain hose to this unit. Water is picked up by the slinger ring and used to cool the coils on the unit. We recommend that the drain plug stay in place because, if it's not there, the efficiency of the unit will drop. You may see some water dripping from the outside of their unit during or after a rainy day or if where you live is really hot/humid area; that's normal.
