“I want to put one of these in my garage in Phoenix as an extra ice machine, freezer and refrigerator. since the garage is 110+, 74 degree inside of the house, are extra parts needed to have it run efficiently in the garage. years ago something was needed.”

Hi - Thanks for considering GE! We do not recommend installation in garages, porches, or unheated rooms where the temperature is likely to exceed 110 degrees Fahrenheit. Above 110 degrees Fahrenheit, the oil could overheat and break down, thus damaging the compressor or sealed system. After-market garage kits should not be used. Keep in touch at GEAppliances.com. Sue
