Good luck. In the 6 months I've had mine, it never got all that cold unless I turned it all the way up, which froze the veggies I had in the produce bin. It seems to have two temps- kinda cool and freezing. So milk is never all that cold and meat doesn't last very long. I'm on the site now because mine just stopped working tonight without warning. Just. Stopped. Bought it 6 months ago. If I were you, I'd return it now rather than later. Get something that works and lasts.

When a refrigerator is first installed, allow 24 hours for it to stabilize to normal operating temperatures. If the refrigerator or the freezer is less than 3/4 (three-quarters) full or if the doors are opened frequently, it may take longer than 24 hours for the refrigerator's temperature to stabilize. Some cooling should be obvious in the freezer within approximately one hour. See REFRIGERATOR TEMPERATURE STABILIZATION PERIOD: http://products.geappliances.com/appliance/gea-support-search-content?contentId=18942 - The fresh food control regulates how long the compressor runs, and in effect, how cold both compartments can become. Set to "Coldest".
