We do not need the ice maker. Can it be removed? null

Hi Russell- The icemaker can be turned off. We do not recommended modifications including removing the icemaker. Our products are designed, tested and manufactured to specific specifications. On new products, we offer a warranty based on these specifications, so any modification may void this warranty. We also offer GE® ENERGY STAR® 21.0 Cu. Ft. Bottom-Freezer Refrigerator GBE21DGKWW without icemaker. This model has a freezer door vs a drawer. Keep in touch! Sue
