Hi Ann - The water filter cartridge is located in the back upper

The filter is in the top right hand corner of the refrigerator.

I recently purchased this unit and I just looked at it and the water filter is inside easily accessible on the top above the top shelf and he just screw it in and screw it out you don’t have to go below
