Hi there - These are great questions! The refrigerator and freezer doors can both be removed for easier installation. Check out pages 24 and 25 of the owner's manual for instructions on how to do so: https://files.bbystatic.com/wvsBQaaP7WQH8cGGVgMBDg%3D%3D/235c7797-ee33-48cd-b52c-f48b61b0d8d7.pdf.
