Hi John - The new high efficiency compressor may run faster and longer than your old refrigerator and you may hear a high-pitched hum or pulsating sound while it is operating. Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.According to page 7 of the owner's manual, what you are probably hearing is the compressor or fans in the fridge. I had not noticed this high-pitched whine until my wife made me listen closely, but it only seems to happen when the fridge is running.
