Hi Elizabeth- Thanks for choosing our GE® ENERGY STAR® 24.8 Cu. Ft. French-Door Refrigerator GNE25JMKES! You'll love the smudge-proof Slate finish. We recommend 1/4" O.D. (outside dimension) GE SmartConnect universal icemaker water supply line. It is heavy-duty cross-linked plastic tubing and the compression fittings are included ( WX08X10006G - 6ft, WX08X10015 - 15ft, WX08X10025 - 25ft) or you can use 1/4" O.D. (outside dimension) copper tubing with a flared end, approximately 8 ft. coiled into 3 turns that are 10" in diameter. Copper tubing is recommended (if not using the GE SmartConnect water line) because most plastic is more likely to "wear out" over time ( WX8X2: 15 ft. kit, WX8X3: 20 ft. kit, WX8X4: 25 ft. kit).
