GE Appliances products are designed by GE Appliances engineers in the United States. Many are manufactured in the U.S. and others are made globally to our specifications. The country of origin is shown on the Model/Serial rating plate as well as the packaging. We do not place a lifespan on our appliances. There are many variables involved, like: frequency of use, type of use, location of appliance (ex. high humidity; near the ocean; etc.), care, and maintenance. This refrigerator is covered by a limited one-year warranty. Should an issue arise outside of the warranty period, we are always available to review your situation on a case-by-case basis.
