A:AnswerHI Carpsmarsh- This is Sue at GE Appliances. We are excited to hear of your interest. The refrigerator is not available without the icemaker. Also, we do not recommend removing the icemaker, since that will leave the electrical and water areas open inside the freezer. You can, however, leave it off all the time and not use it. GE® SERIES ENERGY STAR® 20.9 CU. FT. BOTTOM FREEZER REFRIGERATOR GBE21DSKSS does not feature an icemaker. Thanks for checking with us!
A:AnswerHello Dawn - this is Nancy at GE Appliances and I am happy to help you. The case depth excluding the door is 30-5/8" deep. I hope this helps! Thanks for checking with us!

A:AnswerThe door do swing all the way open, but for me that’s not a problem. I use to have a refrigerator that I had to fight to get the food in so this is a joy.

A:AnswerHello Freezer - this is Nancy at GE Appliances and I am happy to help you. During the defrost cycle, the defrost timer activates defrost heater(s) in the evaporator section which heats up, melts frost off the evaporator coils, and then turns off. During defrost there will be no running sounds, no fan noise no compressor noise. You may hear water dripping or sizzling as it hits the heater. Most models will defrost for approximately 25 to 45 minutes usually twice a day. Temperatures in the freezer should not be affected during this heating process. I hope this helps! Thanks for checking with us!
A:AnswerPlease make sure the freezer door is closed properly. If not condensation will freeze and finally melt to the floor. The door glides will probably be frozen.
Otherwise you probably need to tighten the waterline connection. The condenser fan should keep the drip pan dry unless its very humid.
