It can, you just need to go to Home Depot or Lowe’s and buy hose adapters and cut end off of dishwasher( the part that hooks onto your sink) and hose clamp on the separate parts and hoses to connect.top smaller hose is your hot water line, after you cut it, measure inner diameter and the buy correct hose clamp and size water line hookup for your application. Same for larger discharge
