“Is this model supposed to have a steam exhaust vent on it like most dishwashers do? Noticed there was quite a bit of water in the unit after normal heat dry cycle. And why is there no smaller side mount bracket holes underneath the bigger side tub plugs?”

This model has a concealed vent which is not visible on the door; the vent is concealed inside of the dishwasher door. This provides a clean appearance, seals in sound during the wash cycle, and protects against venting damage to countertops such as Corian or granite. Some water (standing water), usually one to two cups, remaining in the bottom of the dishwasher tub is normal. If dirty water is building up over time in the bottom of the unit and your installation does not have an air gap, make sure you have a high drain loop. The mounting brackets that are included with the unit have been tested and approved for proper installation. Please follow the Installation Instructions as they're written. -Don@GEAppliances
