There is a filter in the bottom interior drain that could need periodic cleaning.

Yes, this model includes both a Ultra-Fine Filter Assembly and a Fine Filter. We recommend inspecting and cleaning the filters periodically. This should be done every other month or more depending on usage. If there is a decrease in wash performance or dishes feel gritty, this is also an indication the filters need to be cleaned. Please see page 20 of the use and care manual for this model by visiting the product page on our website, clicking on the “Features” tab and navigating to the “Manuals & Guides” section.
