I find it very quiet. Only real noise is when the ice cubes drop into an empty bin. It's less noisy than my old 2002 Whirlpool Side By Side.

Our refrigerators continue to be manufactured with as quiet an operation as possible. We know the kitchen is a popular gathering place. The type of installation (built-in or freestanding), floor type (wood, tile) and room acoustics can affect the normal operating sounds that you may hear. Also, the filter is easy to replace. Simply line up the arrow on the filter with the arrow on the filter cartridge and gently push the top of the filter up inside the holder. Slowly turn the filter to the right until it stops. As you turn the filter, it will automatically raise itself into position.
