• Hi Laura- The door alarm feature helps ensure food preservation is maximized by signaling if the door as been left ajar. The alarm will sound if either door is open for more than 3 minutes. The light goes out and the beeping stops when you close the door. Note: Alarm won't sound if door is open 1/2 to 3 inch. Keep in touch! SUEatGEA
