• The kit is for installing the dishwater under the counter. If you are going to use it as a portable, you don't need it.

Convertible Portable dishwashers can roll to the sink to do the dishes and then roll out of the way when not in use. A convertible portable dishwasher gives you great flexibility, since you have the option to later build it in using a conversion kit. Conversion does involve some disassembly of the dishwasher. The sides, top and rollers must be removed, water valve changed and springs re-located.
