Model JES1657SMSS is actually a countertop microwave specifically, and was not designed to be built-in; we do regret any inconvenience that causes. We have several microwaves that are able to be converted to built-in with use of a trim kit, however; if you search your dealer website or our GE website with the term 'built-in microwave', you will be able to view the options that are compatible with a trim kit.
