Dual evaporators maintain separate environments in both the fresh food and freezer compartments to manage temperature and humidity levels and keep foods fresh. Cold, dry air stays in the freezer compartment to prevent freezer burn, and more humid air stays in the fresh food section to keep fresh food fresh longer.
