It's a three wire, it hooked up no problem to my 4-wire system. It works great. Just don't hook up the neutral, just cap it off as it states in the directions. It's comes with a attached 3 wire, black, red, and ground no plug.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hi Danny - We are happy to provide assistance. Per the Installation Instructions, you must use a two-wire, three conductor 208/240 VAC, 60 Hertz electrical system. A white (neutral) wire is not needed for this unit. The cooktop must be installed in a circuit that does not exceed 125 VAC nominal to ground. We suggest viewing the Installation Guide at the following link for complete details: https://products.geappliances.com/MarketingObjectRetrieval/Dispatcher?RequestType=PDF&Name=31-11072-4.PDF - Thanks for choosing GE Model JP3030DJBB. We’re glad to have you in the family. Enjoy! Sue
