“Are the knobs made of plastic or are they made of metal? I have a GE cooktop and the knobs have all broken. Replacement cost is prohibitive and I recommend that anyone buying a cooktop buy one with metal knobs.”

Hi Ron- We are sorry to hear of this unfortunate experience with the knobs on your GE Cooktop. JGP3030SLSS has stainless steel appearance knobs. These knobs are weighted, temperature resistant electroplated plastic. You should not expect to have issues with this design.
