A:AnswerMy installers, Best Buy ( Tech) didn't have any problem installing my cooktop because I had a similar size GE profile before. They made a comment that we were lucky it fit so well. However, Best Buy did have to saw out a larger space to install my oven.
A:AnswerThere are only 2 grates, top and bottom are connected together as one on both the right and left side.
They have the normal coating, kind of like what is on an iron skillet. I would suggest to just hand wash, not sure if they are dishwasher safe or not. Great stove top for different sizes of pans.
A:AnswerThe width left to right on the grates is 23.5" and the depth is 19.5 on the grates. Of course there is 1 inch room all the way around for hang over of a pot or fry pan.

Regarding the size of the flex connector, all GE Appliances gas cooking products, (freestanding ranges, cooktops, wall ovens) should be connected to a gas supply line that is 1/2" I.D. national pipe thread.
