A:AnswerThe black surface has a matte finish, like a spray powder coat. It has not yet scratched, in spite of heavy pots and pans, so i suspect it is a durable baked-on finish. I expect it will have the durability of a non-stick pan finish. At least it feels like that. I am not going to try to scratch the finish to find out.
