A:AnswerHi - We hate to hear you're having difficulty with your range. Starting in 2018, electric ranges and cooktops that feature plug-in coil surface elements use Sensi-Temp Technology to help reduce the risk of oil and grease fires. Each plug-in coil surface element (burner) has a medallion with a button (sensor) in the center of the coil. This button must contact the bottom of the cookware for the Sensi-Temp Technology to sense the temperature properly.
When the sensor detects a pan temperature near the limit (450 degree Fahrenheit), the burner will shut off automatically until a lower, safe pan temperature is reached. At that point, heat will resume to the burner. This should not affect everyday cooking as the automatic shut-off is temporary and only happens at very high temperatures. If you continue to have difficulty, we recommend calling GE Appliances service at 1-800-432-2737 to have your range checked by a technician. We apologize for your frustration and inconvenience. Kind regards - Vikki@GEA
A:AnswerHi Francesco - Power cords are not furnished for electric free- standing ranges. Electric ranges are "hard wired" and will need a 3-prong or 4-prong 240v range cord (purchased separately). Per the Installation Guide, use a 4’ power cord to prevent interference with the storage drawer. Power cords 4 1/2' to 6' long may have
to be dressed to allow for proper drawer closing. We suggest viewing the Installation Guide at the following link for complete details:

We’re glad to have you in the family. Enjoy! Sue

A:AnswerOn my first range it did. We cooked on it and while eating dinner the top broke making a sound like it blew up. That was on my Whirlpool Range 6 months old. Because I had a hard time getting it repaired timely I got a regular GE range with coil burners and standard oven. We liked both just not happy with Whirlpool service rep. Stove unusable with answer of a month or more before he could get parts. I was in need of stove for fixing family dinner.
A:AnswerIt has a timer, but the alarm is close to a whisper. There is one light sufficient to satisfy the need to look without opening the door. You didn't ask, but insulation is poor and it gets quite warm on the outside. If you are looking at a self cleaning version, it is probably better insulated. I would say it is worth the money, and the overheating protection built into the coils is a great idea. Wally
A:AnswerI think you are confusing words here. Induction is not Convection and vice versa. It is Induction ! Perhaps click onto the lil icon next to word that's the definition. Always a good ideal to read Specifications and check the definition of a item such as this. Induction YES Convection NO
A:AnswerThe sensi-temp burners on this range cannot be replaced with non-sensi-temp burners. Regulations require all electric coil top ranges to have temperature limiting capabilities to reduce the risk of cooktop oil and grease fires. As a result, our electric coil burners now use Sensi-Temp Technology.
A:AnswerYou have to pay for that extra. Tip, make sure your old stove has a plug or you will need to get it wired for that. My old stove was hardwired to the house, so I had to get that fixed before the install.
A:AnswerThe information can be found in the "Adjust the Oven Temperature" section on pg. 14 of the Owner's Manual. The Owner's Manual is located on the product homepage in the "Features" section.
A:AnswerThis range comes with a one year limited warranty. For more details, please review the "GE Appliances Electric Range Limited Warranty" section on pg. 30 of the Owner's Manual.
