Hi Mary - The range hood is 29 7/8" wide and requires a 30" cutout (30" is standard for a range hood). Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.No, I don't think it would fit in a 29.75" opening. The unit is actually 29.8" wide. It was a snug fit into the standard cabinet opening.
