“I want to replace a ductless range hood. Cant find one that takes the air up faster. The smoke Detector goes off quite a bit. The one we had just bought doesn’t make enough noise and does not seem to pull up the air as fast.”

• Hi Lam - Non-Vented hoods do not have a CFM rating. Air is pulled up through the hood, forced through a filter, and back out into the same room. Since the air is simply being circulated, there is no need for the measurement of air flow. "CFM" (cubic feet per minute) is the measurement of the exchange of air from one area to another. Vented Hoods have CFM ratings. In order to remove the air faster, the hood would need to be vented outdoors. Thanks for your interest in GE! -Emelea
