A:AnswerYes if you want to reinstall it in your existing cabinet. I just put it the old cabinet until I had it installed by a technician.
My old unit's trim kit/microwave didn't work with the replacement microwave.
If you're handy, you probably could do it yourself....I'm not so I needed technical help.
New trim kit is $200.

Yes the trim kit is the same as we used and it looks great and was easy to install. (well, fairly easy!)
If you have not purchased the microwave yet, please go back and close the door multiple times.....are you bothered by the loudness and the tinny sound of it? I had not noticed that until it gets closed multiple times a day and it bothers me.....its loud and no way to soften it. If I had the opportunity, I would look further to get a better muffled or padded close. But the microwave is excellent.
A:AnswerI would assume your showroom model is not installed correctly. Wow, I would find a different store to purchase from. Ours fits great and door opens all the way.
MAKE SURE you have the right Trim kit.......measure and be sure.
