The icemaker makes cubes and crushed ice and the refrigerator comes with a filter .  Directions say the water filter should be replaced around every six months.  I am very happy with my new GE .

Ice maker forms crescent shaped ice. They’re crushed when you select that on the dispenser. First filter comes installed in the appliance.

Ice maker has crushed and cubed ice. As well as water dispenser. Fridge comes with water filter. We are loving ours. Bright LED lights and tons of room make it much easier to organize.

It has an option for either, but it does a very poor job at crushing. You will get many cubs that are mostly whole.

It comes with a water filter, but it will not work with aftermarket filters. (It has an RFID imbedded)
