Be sure nothing interferes with the sweep of the feeler arm. Piled up cubes in the storage bin cause the icemaker to shut off. Level cubes by hand, if necessary. Normal freezer temperature is around zero degrees F. Ice production can be further increased by decreasing the freezer temperature to -2F. Very little food, or no food, in the refrigerator or freezer sections may slow down the production of ice. More food in the refrigerator allows temperatures to remain more stable. A:AnswerHi 0923- Should you experience a power outage or power failure, it is not necessary to unplug the refrigerator. When power is restored and the unit automatically starts, the sudden start will not harm the refrigerator. Electronic models will return to your settings. If there was a short power outage the compressor overload will cycle on and off (not the compressor) until the refrigerant system equalizes at which point the compressor will start and refrigeration will resume.
