Lots of condensation from this unit. It will wick that water against the hot coils but this process causes a pinging noise. I removed the rubber drain plug and the unit runs much quieter but condensation is substantial in humid conditions.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Water will collect in the base pan during high humidity or on rainy days. The water may overflow and drop from the outdoor side of the unit. This is normal. The unit does not need to be drained, although the subbase water plug can be removed to minimize water in the back of the unit. However, removing the plug will lower the efficiency of your unit.
