“Does the coils automatically cut off”

• No, The little button in the center of the coils is a temperature sensor. If the pan gets to hot the coils will cool down untill the stove thinks it safe to heat up again (about 30 seconds to a minute ) Its a safety feature to prevent a fire. If there is no pan on the burner it will stay hot untill you turn it off at switch.

• No the just keep the port from getting to hot. It hasn’t been a problem for us. They are a safety feature.
