Providing your new range is electric and requires a 40 amp circuit breaker, the outlet or the power cord may be changed. We recommend contacting a licensed electrician or professional installer for assistance. If you purchased a new gas range, it should be plugged into a 120 volt, 15 or 20 amp circuit. -Vikki@GEAppliances
