  • QuestionHow does the top of the burner hold up. My present stove top is very scratched up.

    Asked by DD.

    • Answer Hi DD - Thanks for considering GE! Glass cooktops are made of a durable, scratch-resistant glass ceramic material. They are not scratch proof, so it is important to use the proper cookware and follow proper cleaning procedures. Do not use cookware with rough bottoms, like cast iron. The bottoms of the pans should be a "smooth" flat surface. Do not slide cookware across the cooktop surface. Keeping your range looking new is easy if you watch this quick use and care video. From selecting the best cleaners, proper maintenance practices, to identifying the proper cookware this video will show you all you need to know about enjoying your new range. • QuestionCan I sterilize baby bottles and nipples in my oven on the steam clean mode

    Asked by Stig.

    • Answer Hi Stig - Thanks for your interest in GE! The steam clean mode is not designed for sterilizing items such as baby bottles/nipples. There is not a temperature associated with the Steam Clean. It gets hot enough to start to generate steam. The Steam cycle helps hydrate food soils so that they are easier to wipe away. Asked by babs.

    • Answer Hi Babs- The lower drawer is for storage only. The range has a Warm oven mode. To use this mode, press the Warm pad then press Start. Cover foods that need to remain moist and do not cover foods that should be crisp. Preheating is not required. Do not use warm to heat cold food other than crisping crackers, chips or dry cereal.
